Education means studies combined with the overall development of a student's personality. Many schools have the provision of co-curricular activities which certainly provides an edge to students in the long run. The schools try to ensure that students look beyond the purview of their textbooks and discover the world around. Knowledge, which is wealth beyond doubt is more important than scoring marks. But admission to top colleges requires high scores as the cut off demands so. But I personally believe that if you possess good knowledge of anything, you are bound to secure marks as well. If you prefer understanding over the rote learning concept, nobody can stop you from achieving marks. In today's competitive world, mere textbook's knowledge is insufficient, but a proper study plan and time management skills can help you achieve both goals quite easily. Of course, you need to know your area of interest and move on. Just have the ardent desire, the fire to know more within yourself. After that exam system gets equivalent to education system cause exams are nothing but a way to check your knowledge. PS--This holds good for all those people who really want to achieve something in life. People who study for the sake of passing exams can't be helped anyway even if u change the entire system.. Knowledge can be gained even on one's deathbed.
