How do I find out a place's grid reference or long and lat via google maps?

I have a place (Bass Point NSW Australia) and I need to find a grid reference or long and lat details for it. How can I do this using google maps or something else??

You can do this using Google Earth. Wherever your curser is on the planet, it will display the coordinates at the bottom of the screen.
