They both are used for copd.

Flovent is used daily - as a preventative and pro air hfa is used as a rescue inhaler when the breathing or asthma attack becomes severe.

    They are two different medications.

Flovent is a steroid and needs to be taken everyday or it wont work that well.

ProAir is a bronchodilator and should be used to open airways during periods of shortness of breath unless otherwise directed by your physician. Some doctors prescribe ProAir for use several times per day.

Follow your doctors orders, if you have questions, call him/her or your pharmacist.

For my copd i take two breathing treatments a day, I use Perforomist in my nebulizer and I have never had to use my inhaler.
