String silencers dont affect string longevity. String suppressors (STS, string tamer, etc.) can if you dont serve the area when the string suppressor contacts the string.

But cat whiskers, string leeches, Jax, etc. do not harm the string. But you will have to replace the string eventually anyways.

In my 25 years of archery hunting, I have never had a problem. Keep your string waxed, bow tuned, and they will last for years.

Not at all, but you do have to keep up with maintenance of your bow. That includes buying a new string sometimes, due to shooting, and storage.

My guitar works good with those.
