Physics HELP! Vector A has a magnitude of 69 units and points due west?

while vector B has the same magnitude and points due south. Find the magnitude and direction of

(a) A + B and

(b) A - B . Specify the directions relative to due west.

    A= 69 West

    B= 69 South

    69^2 + 69^2 = x^2

    x= 97.6

    A+B= 69 W and 69 S = 97.6 SW

    A-B= 69 W and 69 N = 97.6 NW

    for magnitude use A^2 + B^2 = C^2

    direction would be A (west) + B (south) = southwest

    A (west) + -B (-south = north) = northwest
