What kind of turtle do i have?

The face is black and his has a few white lines on his face. His shell is round and its black. He has little spikes on his leg and tails. What kind of turtle is it?

He could be a snapping turtle, which are found in a variety of colours, including black. They also have long tails with spikes.

If you really want to classify him, you could use a dichotomous key.

Look at the under-shell. Is it cross-shaped, rather than oval? Then it's a snapping turtle, probably the common snapper.
