Your fish isn't lazy. He has ceased to exist. A goldfish has gills that hold tiny capillaries that are use to picking up very small concentrations of oxygen in water. When you took him out of the tank, he basically "overdosed" on oxygen due to his capillaries absording so much avaible oxygen (about 20% in air compared to very very meager >1% in water) and died. I am sorry for your loss. DO NOT flush the fish. It's actually against the law in some states because it's cruel because the fish may not be dead and is thrown into toxins that make it suffer. Also, the body can cause "pollution" as well. Put him in the trash or bury him.

Fish don't have feet/paws as well so that's why he wasn't able to walk either. I would suggest getting a dog as your next pet and take good care of him/her.
