Alcohol withdrawal...how long does it take?
Basically that's my question. I've decided that I want to be completely sober for a month, but I'm wondering how long does it take for me to feel normal again? As in normal I mean that right now my head (brain) has a slight fuzziness to it, and I'm going through bouts of agitation, irritation, and general anxiety. So how long before that all wares off? I'm sure it's different for everybody but what's the usual estimate?

Expect some physical discomfort for 4 days, the severity based on how much you've been drinking and how many times you've quit before. The worst will be on days 2 & 3.

Drug and alcohol withdrawals vary depending on your level of addiction or usage. If you drink large amounts of alcohol on a consistent basis then your withdrawal period will be more extensive then someone who drinks smaller amounts less frequently. If your withdrawals are really bad then look into medical detoxification.
