My WiFi only works when my laptop is plugged in to an electrical outlet, do you know how to fix this?

When I am running my laptop on battery power alone I can open my homepage in internet explorer but any other site I want to go to will not load until I plug my laptop in. Please help.

The battery is brand new.

It seems like your battery is losing its oomph -- it's getting old. Easiest way to prove this is to substitute a newer battery.

If a newer battery quickly gives you the same problem, then the recharging circuit (maybe in the laptop) has a problem, and it could be fixed if the laptop is still under warranty.

If the newer substitute battery works for many hours, your old battery was just worn out.
