how do i become a personal trainer?

i live in attleboro ma. if that at all matters. i was wondering if i could just study the books they offer online and then go to a site to take te cert. test. is that possible? or do i have to take classes somewhere?

You can take all courses online and be a trainer on no time. I just don't know if you have to travel to take a final exam. The whole course to get a certificate cost me around 500 or more.
