Vector A has a magnitude of 69 units and points due west?

while vector B has the same magnitude and points due south. Find the magnitude and direction of

(a) A + B and

(b) A - B . Specify the directions relative to due west.

    a. its 69 west and 69 south, so its a 45-45-90 triangle. The magnitude is 69 sqrt (2). The direction is then 45 degrees south of west.

    b. Go west but then go north, as it is minus B. still a 45-45-90 triangle. 69 sqrt (2) is the magnitude but its 45 degrees north of west.
