The part ranges anywhere from $30 to $60 on auto parts warehouse.

Labor should run anywhere from $100 to $300. It depends on how difficult it is to access the water pump, but it shouldn't be any more than $300 for labor.

    Total around $350.

  • about 250-300, but when you do this, it's best to also replace all the drive belts, timing belt, tension parts, unless all this was just recently replaced. To see if your mehanic is honest, to replace the extra parts, there should be NO labor cost because everything needs to be removed to get to the water pump and put back together.

If your car already has high miles, have them replace the crankshaft seal, $ 10 part, only takes 5 minutes

The non turbo is 3.7 hours and the turbo version is 5.4 hours. The pump itself runs around $40. Figure labor to be $90-$120 an hour. Non turbo job should be around $440 and turbo version $600. That's how we estimate the job in my shop.
