You can become at psychiatric nurse with just your Associates Degree in Nursing (RN). During your studies, psychiatric nursing will be covered. Once you graduate, you can pick what specialty you would like to work in. It is up to you how many years you want to study. A bachelor's degree only opens up more doors for you.
