Put a GXS-R motor or some other crotch rocket motor in if you want to get it to haul. If you are really ballsy, put a Hyabusa motor in it!

This is a question with no real answer, since it's without specifics. It all depends on what kind of go-cart you are running. If you want quick acceleration and an "average" top speed, then you'll want a larger motor (10 hp plus) with a lower gear ratio.

In the end, it really depends on your go-carts gearing. Briggs and Straton and Honda make some good go-cart motors for that type of application. Whatever size of the go-cart, 10-18 horsepower should do well with good gearing for quick acceleration.

well... i gotta tell ya.....depends on what type of motor your looking for..... most go carts have a 4stroke lawn mower motor... if you want average speed with a lot of take off.. try different sprocket configurations.. on the take off and the wheel....
