    Question says, "total number of calories in one cup is 370"

    but it doesn't say what this cup is of!!!!

    Given:

    skim - 10 = milk/2

    milk - 40 = apple

    Since the question doesn't explain *which* glass is 370

    calories, here are the 3 different solutions for which

    ever version you intended.

    Case 1: 370 calories in cup of skim

    -----------------------------------

    skim - 10 = milk/2

    370 - 10 = milk/2

    2(370 - 10) = milk

    720 = milk

    milk - 40 = apple

    720 - 40 = apple

    680 = apple

    skim milk = 370, whole milk = 720, apple juice = 680

    Case 2: 370 calories in cup of whole milk

    -----------------------------------------

    skim - 10 = milk/2

    skim - 10 = 370/2

    skim = 370/2 + 10

    skim = 195

    milk - 40 = apple

    370 - 40 = apple

    330 = apple

    skim milk = 195, whole milk = 370, apple juice = 330

    Case 3: 370 calories in cup of apple juice

    ------------------------------------------

    milk - 40 = apple

    milk - 40 = 370

    milk = 370 + 40

    milk = 410

    skim - 10 = milk/2

    skim - 10 = 410/2

    skim = 410/2 + 10

    skim = 215

    skim milk = 215, whole milk = 410, apple juice = 370

    .
