First, convert 14 into a fraction, so that your numbers are easier to work with. Now the problem should look like this:
7/8 Divided By 14/1
Now, all you have to do is cross-multiply. Remember that the numerator is multiplied by the denominator. Here is how this is represented in algebra: (7*1)/(8*14). Remember when doing this that it is important to go from left to right, in order to get the numerator and the denominator in the right spot. Here is the answer to your current problem:
7/112
...and here it is again, upon simplification:
1/16
If you are good with numbers, you may have realized that 7 is a factor of 14. This makes your life much easier, because then you can simply multiply both the numerator and the denominator by 2, resulting in 14/16. Now if you divide this by 14, all you have to do is divide the numerator (14) by 14, resulting in the answer 1/16.

7/8 divided by 14/1 is done like this...
then multiply by the reciprocal: 7/8 times 1/14
so then you get 7/112 which equals 16
answer:16
you have to mulltiply by the reciprocal!!! some people did the calculations wrong because they forgot to use the reciprocal!
