Volvo still makes Station Wagons and BMW, Subaru, Audi, and Volkswagen. As for American car companies only the Ford Focus had a Wagon and that was discontinued in 2006 in favor of the 4 door Sedan, and 3 Coupe, and the over sized unnecessary SUV's. I myself am a Wagon man and have had 3 wagons in my time and my third and current is a 1993 Ford Escort and love it. My other 2 were a 1973 Ford Ranch Wagon in 1987 and a 1987 Chevrolet Caviler from 1997-2006. I prefer Wagons over SUV's or trucks as you can carry more items or people in some Wagons than in the over hyped SUV. Plus wagons get much better gas mileage than the SUV ever will.

Too many midsection elderly people have been tortured interior the returned of station wagons growing to be up. they have a picture subject. for this reason the crossover. rather a raised station wagon. not greater able or functional and much less valuable. i don't get it the two. each and every the place else wagons and hatchbacks very much outsell sedans. they are much simpler. You get plenty better area without giving up overall performance or gas financial device. i think of the wagon could have a comeback. The Ford Fiesta hatch at present outsells the sedan by way of better than a 2:a million ratio. The Toyota Yaris sells in a ratio of 60:40 hatchback:sedan. The Chevy Aveo is nearly even, with a a million% benefit to the hatch. The Kia Soul, Scion xB, and Mini Cooper are additionally different fulfillment memories. I strongly have faith that if manufacturers provide us appealing wagons people will purchase them. There hasn't been a competent, mainstream, midsize-fullsize wagon great adequate to do accountability as a family contributors vehicle in an prolonged time.

Unfortunately the above stated is correct there are few station wagons for sale. But boy I remember my days when I drove my Buick Estate around, not a care in the world. You could overshoot a driveway and make tire tracks on the neighbor's lawn and when they come out yelling, they would stop yelling when they saw the Estate and thought I was elderly. Also you could show up hours late to picking up a friend at 1am, and when they come out fuming mad, it quickly turns to laughter when they see the Griswold vehicle. It was also excellent at masking fast food trash in the back, means fewer stops at the Garbage can and more time at the gym. Ahh good ol days, unfortunately it got repossessed for non-payment of an outstanding balance of $17.45 on the loan (don't judge it was a tough three months) but when I hit the lotto big, I will go look for it.

Honda is introducing an almost-wagon next month - a 5-door Accord hatchback called the Crosstour.

    I wish they'd sell a real one.
