There is no centralized data base.

www.findagrave.com has 35 million entries. They have some Canadian ones but most of the entries are for the USA. (There's are several cities named Vancouver. The biggest is in BC.)

The Canadian Gen Web site for the province may have a list of cemetery transcriptions.

You might find her on Google with an exact phrase search:

    "Smith, Mary Jane"

    "Mary Jane Smith"

use quotation marks and all possible formats of her name.

Her obituary would tell you where she was buried, usually; you'd find it in old newspapers on microfilm in the library.
