Butch. I'm not sure which part of the point you missed. Glenn Beck's political rants caused these companies to boycott him. I've given two options for people to discuss. Ironically, the subject is freedom of speech and censorship.

No. Their refusal to associate with controversial speech is also part of the free market. This happens when all widely available and watched media depends on corporate advertising

I'm not sure why they are officially boycotting the show, but it must be political somehow. I didn't here Glen Beck call Obama a racist, but I know I've heard many liberal talk show host call Bush an idiot, or a murderer, etc. Calling Obama a racist on national TV was probably not the smartest thing he ever did, but I don't think it is that big of a deal.

Progressive Insurance is the most anti american company I can think of. They need to stop ripping people off and pay the fair claim value. There should be laws that this Insurance campany has to follow regarding better handeling of claims. I want you to help me make that happen.

Why are you asking this question in this Yahoo group? It's completely off topic. Your abuse has been reported!

  • I don't patronize any of those companies so boycotting won't be difficult at all.
