is the antispyware 2010 remover from spywarevoid a virus itself?

is the antispyware 2010 remover from spywarevoid a virus itself? because i was considering downloading it to get rid of antivirus 2010, because the simple unistall does not work, and it just re downloads itself automatically. I did not even download it in the first place, it just randomly appeared. so will downloading the remover from this site harm my computer?

(I have AVG protection)

Update 2:

i have avg that is paid for

Update 3:

also, how long does the malware bytes take to complete, the scan?

ive been removing spam for about 5 years, and just the sound of the remover sounds wrong ! specially if it scans your computer then says, something like, if you want me to remove these files pay this amount.

use spy bot search and destroy or malawarebytes as suggested earlier.

just don't run at the same time.

AntiSpyware 2010 is a rogue anti-spyware program from the same family as Home Antivirus 2010. When installed, PC AntiSpyware 2010 will create numerous harmless files on your computer that will then be detected as infections when the program scans your computer. These files are named using random characters and are created in various locations on your hard drive. These files are created solely to validate the scan results that state that the infections exist on your computer, when in reality these files cannot harm it.

PC AntiSpyware 2010 will also display a window that impersonates the Microsoft Windows Security Center. The difference between this version and the real one, is that the fake Security Center suggests that you purchase PC AntiSpyware 2010 in order to protect your computer. This rogue will also hijack Internet Explorer so that while you are browsing you will randomly be shown a page stating that the site you are visiting is a security risk. It will then try and sell you PC AntiSpyware 2010 to protect you from this site.

As you can see, this program is designed for one purpose; to trick you into thinking you are infected and to have you purchase the software.

Please!! Get rid of AVG before your computer becomes hopelessly infected. As a matter of fact go here and watch this about AVG and see how sorry it is for yourself. You Tube.

Get Avira. It's better than AVG or Avast.

    Avira being tested.

    Web of trust rating for

Your infected with Mal Ware. You will need this.

AVG in the paid edition isn't that great. Avira free runs circles around it. If you want the best, Get Kaspersky.

As far as the amount of time it takes for Mal ware bytes to scan no one can really say. It all depends on how much is on your computer.

I also endore malwarebytes but spywarevoid is actually a legit removal tool that some users swear by.

I have never encountered this virus so I have never used spywarevoid myself but malwarebytes has ALWAYS cleaned what ails my PC.

AVG Free is bad. If you want to go the free route, try Avast Home Edition.

you can check to see it it's legit. they can also instruct you how to get rid of this infection. a program that they recommend is Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware that has to be up dated and ran in safe mode to get rid of anti-virus 2010

get free version, update, do full scan.

Then get this, free, update , full scan

If free avg, it is garbage. paid is ok though

edit : nothing is 100 % , use the above programs to clean you up.
