What would your Australian backline be?

My team on form:

1. Jarryd Hayne

2. Israel Folau

3. Michael Jennings

4. Justin Hodges

5. Greg Inglis

6. Jamie Soward

7. Johnathon Thurston

I think Prince is better than Thurston, but Thurston has been better this year.

Lockyer is too old and not too great anyway.

Jennings has been playing really good, and Boyd is overated anyway.

I like Slater, he just hasn't performed this year. Plus, how could Hayne not be at fullback with his form.

Ricky Stuart wrote in the paper that Slater should be fullback, and have Hayne on the wing but playing infield as a second fullback. Just let him do his thing. If he wants the ball, he gets the ball. Imagine having both of those players speeding through the middle.

NIGHTMARE!

    On form:

    1. Hayne

    2. Brett Morris

    3. Inglis

    4.Hodges

    5.Dave Williams

    6.Soward

    7.Thurston

Soward in reality will not get chosen in front of Lockyer for an Australian rep side, however it will be hard not to pick Soward if Lockyer retires at the end of the season.

Soward is the fastest player in the league, an excellent goal kicker, and a brilliant passer. Lockyer has lost a lot of pace due to age and injury and certainly does not have the pace of Soward but is still a great defender with a flawless kicking game.

To the asker;- I m surprised you picked Inglis on the wing and Jennings at centre. Inglis is a much better centre than Jennings who is always clutching in pain at his legs or arms. Centres must have strong defense and Jennings has quite weak defense while Inglis is an outstanding defender. In rep games wingers do not come in as much and Jennings should be utilised more as a finisher than as a passer and runner of the ball which Inglis excels at. Maybe you should swap them?

Nah, you're just being biased mate, Hayne needs to play but he wont be taking Slater's spot. And get over Soward, seriously, he will not play for Australia, he will not play Origin, stop thinking he is better than Lockyer, Prince & Kimmorley, its just stupid no offence.

    1. Slater

    2. Folau

    3. Inglis

    4. Hodges

    5. Hayne

    6. Lockyer

    7. Thurston
