People already gave you some great suggestions about things to do and see in LA, so a lot of my suggestions would be repetitive. I can give you a bit of extra info about The Price is Right, though. You do need to order tickets ahead of time, and you can check out the website for more information on how to do that. Having a ticket, though, does not guarantee that you will get in. You need to stand in line, and believe me, people get there EARLY. The first time I tried to go, we got there at 5 AM, and the line was already around the corner. We didn't get in. The second time, we stayed in a motel right across the street from CBS studios, The Farmer's Daughter. It's a pretty standard motel, but it's very convenient to the studios. We actually got in line about 11 PM the night before the taping and were in the first row. If you're staying in the motel, you have a place where you can go use the bathroom or take a 15 minute nap while the others hold your place in line. The other cool thing about staying there is they have (or at least they *did* when we stayed there) a free seminar by the hotel staff on how to maximize your chances of getting picked as a contestant. Bring water, snacks, a book and/or iPod to pass the time in line. Be prepared for a very long day. After the first line, you have a short break when you can run back to the motel, shower, and check out. The motel will let you continue to park there if you are attending a taping. Then more standing in line. Then some waiting in a holding area. Then they come through and check everyone's ID and verify they're over 18. Then they do a quick one or two question "interview" with every audience member. Then more waiting. Then finally they let you in. The studio is very cold, so you may want to bring a light jacket. It will be a very exhausting day (we were awake for about 36 hours straight!), but you will have a lot of fun! --->Enjoy!

if you call a local midwife or birthing center they will have a list for you.

i didnt vaccine brody at first because i did alot of research and found alot of "information" that was against vax and it scared me. after the whooping cough started going around where i live i did some more research and found that almost everything that i researched wasnt credible. we now vax brody, but on an alternate schedule. most all doctors will be happy to vax on a different schedule. dont take it personally if a doc refuses to see your baby because she isnt vaxed....alot of doctors malpractice insurance wont cover them on unvaxed babys. we give him 2 shots, or 1 oral vax and 1 shot, every month instead of all at once every other month.

I'm not going to judge you...I'm just going to point out how many potentially deadly or crippling illnesses have been eradicated through vaccination. I'm sure you've heard it all before, but seriously. Whooping cough made a resurgence in my area recently. There's a reason that most schools require certain vaccinations before they'll let your child attend. It can present a danger not only to your child, but to other children.

There's also no scientific evidence that vaccination causes problems. The link between autism and vaccination has been proven false; in countries where vaccination rates have been reduced, autism rates have continued to increase.

Just sayin'. I wouldn't feel I was doing my duty as a scientist if I didn't point these things out.
