Question about ...and Justice For All's production.?
Anyone who's listened to this album has noticed the "dry" production, with the noticeable lack of bass guitar in the production. Did this have something to with Cliff Burton's death or was it just the desired style?

they hadn't truly accepted jason in the band because they were still in grief for cliff's horrible death. as you could imagine.

James Hetfield had the bass turned down on all the songs but
To Live Is To Die (which is a song basically written by Cliff). It seems after Cliff died they took alot of their anger out on Jason which would account for them making it so you cant hear him playing.
