Victoria, BC is on Vancouver Island. There's lots to do on Vancouver Island like surfing, shellfish harvesting, salmon fishing, sailing.

Google the following:

Tofino, Long Beach, Nanaimo, Qualicum Beach.

If you ever get bored, just jump ship and go to the lower mainland.

victoria is most famous for butchard gardens. it's just a small beautiful town with different sites to see and plenty of wild life around. if you want to do more than just hiking and canoeing, better head up island or ferry to the mainland.
