Try "The Saga of Darren Shan" it's called "The Cirque du freak Series"

It' s a 12 book vampire story about a young boy who became a vampire to save his best friends life.

He has to prove himself to the vampire clan and overthrow destiny.

In the last 6 books, especially, there's some shocking plot twists.

It's a LOT better than Twilight, seriously.

And JK Rowling (author of Harry Potter) recommends it ;D

Plus, there's a film coming out in October that's based on the first 3 books.

    Trailer for film :

I would highly recommend "The Wheel of Time" series by Robert Jordan, The first book in the series is "The Eye of The World". It is an excellently written fantastic tale of the eternal battle between good and evil and the young men and women from a small community destined to take the reigns of "Power" and conquer the evil which threatens the very fabric of time. I just re-read the entire series as the next to last volume "The Towers of Midnight" was recently released!
