Oldboy remake with Will Smith?

Spieldberg and Smith are in talks to remake the Korean film. Does anybody else thinks they will just ruin it?

Though I'm a big fan of Will Smith and Spieldberg, I am never a fan of American adaptations or remakes of Korean films (for example, The Lake House and My Sassy Girl remakes were very disappointing). I'm not being biased because I am Korean myself. It's just that Korean and American actors and directors are very different in how they do what they do. And I'm not sure if Smith can do what Choi Min Shik did or if Spieldberg can do what Park Chan Wook did.

We'll have to see when the movie actually comes out but for now, I don't have very high expectations.

You cannot remake something that is perfect. Also, in this country they would have to change a lot of the things(especially the twist of the film). It should not be made!!!!

    It's not a remake, it's an adaptation...

... and no, I'm sure it will be good.

Oh! I did not know that, and yes, I do think so. That movie was perfect!
