Is sausage and mash potatoes a healthy meal if your on a diet?

    You're joking, right?'s a GREAT meal!!! Make sure to add some butter baked biscuits smothered in gravey, and pecan pie, covered in whipped cream for dessert!!!

    It depends on how many sausages you have and how they are cooked and what you put into the mash.

    Grill the sausage and have no more than 3 and use low fat spread instead of butter in your mash, this isn't the best meal if you are on a diet but as a treat it is OK occasionally.

    No it is not healthy . Sausage has a high fat content and most people load mashed potatoes with lots of butter. Strip that fat diet plan has a diet generator that gives you a detailed plan to follow if you are in need of one.

    If you don't add any fat when you cook your sausages (grill them) and if you buy low fat ones and if you add only a small amount of marg in the mash and semi- skimmed milk I would say this was acceptable if it was served with carrots and/or greens

    You should increase the intake of veggies - all kinds, and bigger variety of fruits. They're plenty of sites that can provide you with info about the content of the food so you can make sure you're taking everything you need - like iron which your current diet needs :) Good luck!

    lol...youre kidding, right?

    mash potatoes=huge amounts of carbohydrates

    sausage=fat and grease

    eat salad, drink a lot of water

    the meal contains hardly any protein or vitamins

    The mash contains high levels of carbs,milk,butter and salt

    The sausages just contain high levels of fat and crap.

    probably one of the worst combinations to eat if you are trying to lose weight.
