How do I know what ethnic race I am?

I just called the number attatched the the from and their answer is race is not scientific it is cultural, thus it is what ever culture I choice to identify with.

Race is not scientific but ethnicity is. Ethnicity has to do with your cultural heritage and nationality has to do with where you were born..eg an Asian born in Canadian..his ethnicity is Asian but nationality is Canadian. Race tries to use biological features..eg saying President Barack Obama is black, when he is black AND white. Race focuses on appearances only that is why it is not good to categorize people by race because someone's african features may show more than their middle eastern features do.
