QUESTION ABOUT HAIR COLOUR! PLEASE HELP?

my hair is dyed a very dark brown but now im fed up with this colour and i wanna get a light brown its like 2 to 3 shades lighter than my hair colour right now do i need to bleach my hair to get it done...

i have long hair and i love it like that thats why im concerend pls help x

but since my hair is already died i dont want my roots to look a certain colour and the rest of my dyed hair another thas y im aksing.... :S

My mums a hair dresser and she says that lighter dyes usually already have a bleaching solution in them :)
