Can someone please explain the ending to American Psycho for me?

I believe it was all in his head, and the part of movie where the ATM machine said "Feed me the cat" let you know that he was just completely out of his mind.

But then again im not to sure, whats your opinion?

    Its all in his head.....Or is it?

    The director said the door was left open for your own conclusion.

    I believe he ''Envisioned'' the murders (Explains the notebook his secretary found) and actually got caught up in his own delusion towards the end when he (In his mind) tried to feed the cat to the a.t.m. and pulled a gun out of nowhere and began shooting people (Including blowing up a cop car with a handgun)

    This is one movie that has been and will be discussed for years to come.

    Heather is wrong. He is such a sociopath that he honestly believes he committed the crimes that are depicted in the movie, when in fact it was all in his head. Freaky, huh? If you want to read more about viewers opinions, here is a link to a forum where people are talking about it:
