How do the NPDOR points work?

I have been saving up points but before i put them in something i want to know how the points work. Is it a drawing? or is it who ever puts in the most points? i can not find anything on the website that says the answer.

Each point you put into a drawing puts you in one time. So if you've put in 100 points, your name is in there 100 times. The problem is that someone else may be in there 200 times, but that doesn't mean they'll win, it just means they'll have a better shot.

I've been saving mine for something amazing. I'll enter them all in for a really good scholarship right before I enter college.
