1997 Acura Integra won't shift into gear. What is/are the cause(s)?
The only way I can drive my 97 Acura Integra is to put the shifter in 1st gear, depress the clutch pedal, and start the ignition but then the car lunges forward. There is no problem up shifting afterward once the car is running. When I start the car in neutral then attempts to shift into any gear while clutch is fully depressed, it would not do so. What do you think the causes are?

sounds like your clutch is either worn out or the slave cylinder is not working check your fluid it only uses brake fluid. if it is low.

You need a new clutch, or if the clutch is hydraulic it may need to be bled.
