i live in Indiana and i have seen a lot of shooting stars the past few weeks, is there a reason for this?

    Indiana was picked for a sneak preview of the Perseid meteor shower

    Yes, Earth is doing through the debris "trails" left by three different comets at the end of July through the beginning of August. This happens every year.

    Could have something to do with the Perseid meteor shower but that is not supposed to peek till like the 12th.

    IN august earth travels through some space dust, u get good showers all over the world in the start of august.

    It's summer, so they are more visible, and you are more likely to be out looking up. And there are several dust clouds about this time of year.
