    You do have to be 14 or older to work in Colorado to perform most jobs. There are a few exceptions. Examples such as babysitting and mowing lawns require you to be at least 12. You have to be at least 9 to shoeshine and caddy at golf courses.

    You must also be at least 16 to perform most jobs that involve driving, and 18 to perform jobs that are defined as hazardous.
