I need help on this question- I can't remember how to do this problem:

If the volume if a sphere is 288π, what is the radius and surface area of the sphere?

Well, since to find the volume you use 4/3πr^3, then you wanna work backwards and isolate r.

288π times 3/4 = 216π

216π/π= 216

216 third root= 6

So the radius is 6

And you can use the radius to find the surface area. 4πr^2

4π(6)^2

4π36

144π units squared OR 452.4 units squared.

V=4/3piR^3

A=4piR^2

Solve for R in first, solve for A in second.
