I have a 2001 Dodge Pick up and my tach jumps when I'm just cruising?

Have a 2001 dodge truck with the 5.9l cummins. I get a 200-500 RPM jump in my tachometer periodically when I just drive normal. I was told perhaps it was the throttle position sensor and replaced it but nothing has changed. Still getting the jump. It always jumps up in RPM's never drops down. I do have a hypertech programer installed but im running stage one so not alot of additional power there to seriously mess anything up. Could it be a program fault? It has run fine on the same program for the last year and this "jump" only started a month or so ago.

check for a bad ground, or a wiring fault in the dash gauge cluster.
