"My grandfather doesn't believe in flowers," how can i make a story/plot out of it?

For a school english assignment, we must create a story including or inspired by this sentence.

I've asked this Q before, but i need ideas for a child's story, as in little kids reading picture books and fairytales and such.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why someone wouldn't believe in flowers?

Any story ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Maybe someone doesn't believe in flowers because they're too beautiful and there's nothing comparable to their beauty. And then, the fairy tale can be about a grandfather who thinks that a flower is too beautiful to exist and he ends up meeting one of the most beautiful princesses ever. From that day, he believed in flowers because it was the first time he saw someone who was as pretty as a flower if not prettier.
