It really depends on what YOU are looking for. Are big-time sports important to you? If so, then Duke and Florida might be your best choices. Do you want an urban location for the city life and potential internships? If so, then go with Wash U. or Northwestern. Do you want a campus that's somewhat isolated, so the most of the action is concentrated on the campus itself? Go with Dartmouth and V-Tech. Is a beautiful campus setting important to you? Go with Duke or UVA. Duke seems to have the whole package to me, but when my daughter visited the campus, she didn't think the students were nearly as welcoming or friendly as on the other campuses she visited (which included UVA, Northwestern, Wash U. and V-Tech). I've heard wonderful things about Dartmouth, but my daughter didn't want to go that far north, so we ruled it out. One additional school worth considering is UNC-Chapel Hill -- lovely campus, very friendly people, great academics, big-time sports if that matters to you. Like UVA, UNC is hard to get into if you're a non-resident (UNC might be tougher because it accepts a smaller percentage of out-of-state students than UVA does).
