SEVERE nightmares after car crash?
Crash wasn't parents fault (Darn New Yorker).
None of the nightmares contain cars.
I only had one "sadistic" dream and luckily I changed it before it got worse.
My question is how can I stop or lessen them? I've had at least 3 every night since the crash.

Here is a technique that, with practice, can help.
It is called lucid dreaming. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucid_dream
Proponents say they can train themselves to realize they are dreaming and so take control. Online searches and library books should be fruitful.
