"House of Peace" is a good translation.
For your information, all Jewish houses of worship can be properly referred to as synagogues, which is a Greek term for a house of study. The Reform Jewish movement, however, prefers to use the term "Temple" rather than synagogue. The more traditional Jewish movements, such as the Orthodox and Conservative, strongly oppose the use of the term "Temple", believing that the term should only be used for the first and second Temples in Jerusalem in ancient days, and possibly for a third Temple that will be built someday in Jerusalem .
A synagogue with a name like Congregation Beth Shalom is probably affiliated with the Conservative Jewish movement.
