Can a 23-year old type 1 diabetic be approved for Medicaid? Just wondering if I should go for it or not.

Update:

I'm sorry, I wasn't very clear earlier. Can I be approved if I have no income also?

Medicaid qualifications are different from state to state so you would need to check with whichever local government office controls it in order to get the information you need. I used to live in NY and had it because I had zero income, but when I moved to Florida, they required I be either pregnant, married with low income, or elderly, all of which I am not.

Medicaid is based on your income and living situation, not based on what is wrong with you.

Medicaid is financial need based not medical need based. Do you qualify financially?
