What's the difference between butter toffee and english toffee?

I love Heath bars, and I discovered this Skor bar yesterday that's basically the same thing. Turns out they're both made by Hershey's. Heath bars are milk chocolate over english toffee, and Skor bars are milk chocolate over butter toffee. But they taste the same to me. Is it just a marketing thing, or is there an actual difference?

English toffee is typically made with brown sugar, which gives it a deeper, richer flavor, while butter toffee is American and typically just has regular sugar, which means you taste the butter in it more.
