First you have to remember that the Insurance companies are pressuring every member of congress to do NOTHING. Second you have to remember that the Republicans are trying to trick, bribe, threaten, or coerce any vulnerable congressmen/women into doing NOTHING. Then you have to remember that the AMA, the Hospital Assn's and the Nurses unions are all trying to get congress to do NOTHING. The only ones who want congress to act are the President and the People. Write your Congressmen/women and put pressure on them. It is the only way they will act.

Why surprised? It's like a lottery ticket - there's some unattainable image of some compensation or return on investment, but it all ends up in the rich man's hands every time.

The project was thrown out by the rich doctors and pharma execs way back in 1993-4.

Obama will likely call them altogether on some island somewhere and have some sort of secret middle of the night vote.. and presto Health Care will be a reality.

    Obama is sneaky that way.

    Why are you angry?

I can't believe that people actually WANT public healthcare. It amazes me at how much proof there is that it IS NOT A GOOD SYSTEM, yet people want it anyway!

Go over to England or Canada and talk to a terminally ill patient there. There are people in those countires DYING before they get their healthcare because the wait is so long. Do you really want that for our country?

Of course. Democrats are complete frauds. Why do you continue to be blinded by the facts? When have they ever delivered on anything they've promised. This time, they don't have their usual alibi--'the big bad Republicans won't let us!" No, they have complete control and are showing you who they REALLY SERVE--the corporate oligarchy.

I don't think so. They will probably keep trying to negotiate a deal. If they haven't come up with something say... a month after the August recess, then it might be tabled, possibly indefinitely, for the next administration.

Too early to be angry. Save it for when you are on a list for needed medical treatment.....a six month waiting list.
