How many days in Illinois can your employer make you work without giving you a day off?
Just curious because I am on day 21!
Update:
Well, I know when I went to management classes back in 99, there was a law in Illinois that stated it was 21 straight days unless the employee voulenteers to work. Otherwise, the company must offer a day off. I just want to see if that law is changed and I'm having a hard time finding it.
Update 2:
I saw that law with 24 hours consecutive off. I sure the law was changed since 99....LOL! thanks so much.

All I could find was a law that you have to have one day of rest out of seven, unless the employee agrees to work the seventh. You could look at the Illinois Department of Labor site for more.

As long as they pay you the overtime, they do not have to give you a day off at all.
