progesterone while pregnant??????????please help?

Question

My Dr. gave me a script for prochieve 8% (progesterone) today. As I was reading the information pamphlet it started to talk about birth defects. While I am prego, she wants me to take this med to increase the lining of my uterus, I understand all that, but my question is has anybody every used this med and came out with a healthy baby? Or if not what happen with your pregnancy/baby while taking it?
