Which pokemon starter should I pick?(Pearl)?

Which pokemon starter should I pick on pokemon Pearl? Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup?

I'm leaning toward Turtwig though.

Chimchar!!!! Pick Chimchar cuz later when it's an infernape it could learn mach punch!!!

Chimchar; the fire types are always the best because they can learn fighting, fire, normal and, in Charizard's case, flying type moves, making it easier to defeat gym leaders=D
