God revealed Himself to man 2,000 years ago. As 1 Timothy 3:16 puts it, And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Despite all the evidence that was shown, despite all the good works, all the miracles that were done, the Jewish still refused to believe Jesus Christ as whom He claimed to be, even so that they would dare cast stones at Him on multiple occasions (John 8:57-59; John 10:29-33).
Who did Jesus Christ claim to be? Some think He was nothing more than some average Joe. Muslims believe He is nothing more than a mere prophet. The Jehovah's Witnesses claim Jesus is Michael the Archangel!
What kind of average Joe, what kind of prophet, what kind of man can heal the palsy (Mark 2:1-5), and the blind (John 9:1-11)? What kind of man do even the devils fear (Matthew 8:28-32)? What kind of man, with the shout of a voice, can raise the dead back to life (John 11:43-46)?
Who other than the Creator (Colossians 1:13-17; John 1:1-4, 14), the Alpha and the Omega (Revelation 1:8), the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6)! Who other than Jesus Christ, the image of the living God (2 Corinthians 4:4)!
As 1 John 5:7 puts it, "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." Jesus is God the Son. One way to look at it is, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, which all combined are one God. Jesus has a Father.
"He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not." -- John 1:10
Here's some additional food for thought:
Who raised Christ from the dead? Did God not raise Christ from the dead? Scripture tells us that God the Father raised Christ from the dead (Galatians 1:1), that Jesus raised His own self from the dead (John 2:19-21), and the Holy Spirit raised Christ from the dead (Romans 8:11)!
