Good free web hosting service, with web building software (like templates)?

Question

Is there a good free web hosting service out there with a decent web building software? I liked the old Homestead service before they began to charge. Something where you can put whatever you want on the website and it allows complete freedom- no templates. Thanks for any help.

All free websites do not force you to use templates. Just because they have templates doesn't mean you have to use them. Use their Visual Editor and Upload tools and make any web page you want.

I would suggest 000webhost free hosting. They have no ads, 1.5GB of space, 100GB of monthly bandwidth and most of the basic things are supported. They also have a website autoinstaller which you can use to install shopping websites, forums, blogs and more with 1 click. I would say a free host is the best to start with, then you can switch to a payed one with more options if you need them.
