Does the slimfast optima bars have sucralose in them?
There's this slimfast optima chocolate chip cookie dough bar that I like to get once awhile...the igredients say "nutritive and nonnutritive sweeteners" ......does that mean it contains sucralose (aka- splenda)? I really need to know, I avoid that stuff at all costs, I am extremely sensitive to it and it does CRAZY things to me. If anyone knows, please let me know, thanks :)
ps--the reason I am suspicious is because I know the slimfast optima drink has sucralose but if these bars do...wouldn't it just say sucralose in the ingredients like the drink does??

If the bars had sucralose, it would certainly be one of the primary ingredients listed. So, you don't have to worry about it!
These bars really are utter garbage nutritionally speaking, with 3.5g of saturated fat and 15g of sugar (which is why there's no need for sucralose) per bar. (1)
If you enjoy the taste have em every once in a while but for your health don't rely on them every day!Source(s): 1. http://www.amazon.com/Slim-Fast-Optima-Chocolate-1...

Actually, according to this site, many SlimFast Optima products do contain sucralose. However, most of the sites I just looked at were listing the sucralose when it was it was the sweetener, i.e. the milk chocolate peanut bar listed sucralose, but the cookie dough bar didn't. I think that some of them do and some don't, so just check the particular flavor you want before you buy it.Source(s): http://www.slim-fast.com/groups/ask_the_dietitian/... http://www.overstockdrugstore.com/products/Slim%25... http://www.drugstore.com/qxp93356_333181_sespider/...
