Is the President of the United States also the nation's chief law enforcement officer?
I believe so, according to Article II, Section 3 of the US Constitution.

The President is the Commander in Chief. The Attorney General of the United States is the top law enforcement official.
Technically, the Commander in Chief is above all other positions in the government, but as far as a departmental head, it is the Attorney General that you are referring to.
Best of luck and I hope this is useful to you

No, technically the Chief Law Enforcement is the Attorney General. Of course, he works for the President, so.... Anyway, I have always felt the the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the land is the one you have to face when you screw up. The cop in front of you, or chasing you from behind, is the Top Cop anytime.
